CYSA has been awarded a grant from the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch for Youth Service Bureaus to act as lead agencies for the new Local Interagency Services Team (LIST) initiative. This initiative is a partnership between Court Support Services Division of the Judicial Branch and the Department of Children and Families, Bureau of Juvenile Services on behalf of the Joint Juvenile Justice Strategic Plan Executive Implementation Team.

Youth Service Bureaus (YSB) from around the state worked with CYSA to complete the application for the Request For Qualifications and offered their expertise as lead agencies for this project. They currently act as lead agencies in eleven of the thirteen court catchment areas for the state. Their task is to "coordinate local stakeholders in raising awareness about the needs of children and youth involved in the juvenile justice system, as well as planning, evaluating, and supporting juvenile justice services in each juvenile court catchment area.”

The LIST project offers a unique opportunity to bring together a multidisciplinary team of community providers, parents and youth around issues of the juvenile justice system and service delivery. LISTs will make recommendations to the state Joint Juvenile Justice Strategic Plan Executive Implementation Team (EIT). Those recommendations will be invaluable for the state in making decisions about allocation of state resources for both at-risk and court involved children and youth.
