YSB DIRECTORS' SUMMIT – Your presence is critical!
April 25 - FARMINGTON
April 26 - BRIDGEPORT
April 27 - WATERFORD
All YSB Directors need to know what is being proposed at the Legislature this year that will impact the operation of all YSBs. The JJPOC adopted and recommended a Community Based Diversion System Plan, and a bill is currently in the legislative process, with a potential July roll-out date.
ALL YSBS WIILL BE AFFECTED BY THIS PLAN, INCLUDING YSBs WITHOUT A JRB.
At the Directors Summit, we will explain how your YSB should prepare for these potential changes.
CYSA encourages all Directors to be aware of this important plan and learn how it WILL affect you and your YSB.
Additionally, there are changes affecting YSB work that were passed last legislative session that will impact YSBs in the coming year (i.e. Truancy law changes). Please come to one of the three dates to get updated on these important issues, as well as get an update on the State Budget proposal in regards to YSBs and what can be done to support YSB funding.
If you cannot attend the Directors Summit, please send a staff member to represent your YSB.
