SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reports to Youth Service Bureau Director. Provides the
following services through the Manchester Youth Service Bureau at Town Summer
Recreation Program: Identify youth for Youth Service Program Bureau programs; engage in outreach to youth and families to assist with youth issues; act as positive role model for youth; act as a resource to other agencies; act as a resource to and make referrals for youth and families; provide crisis intervention for youth and families; provide conflict resolution for youth and families.

  • Teen Center Worker

Vacancy in the Youth Service Bureau
$11.50 per hour; 19 ˝ Hours per week
School Year: 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
Summer Hours: 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday Thursday
No Benefits

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reports to Youth Service Bureau Director or designee. Monitors teens who use the Center; runs Teen Center events; assists with Youth Service Bureau programs; enforces Teen Center rules; acts as a role model for teens; maintains records as required; performs opening and closing functions; writes reports as necessary; assists Program Coordinator in assessing needs of Center; participates in training and attends staff meetings as required; may perform other duties as required.

  • Program Assistants - Youth & Social Services

The Town of Cheshire invites qualified applicants to apply for one of three, part-time vacancies as Program Assistants working under the direction of the Program Supervisor providing assistance in the conduct of Yellow House youth programming. Must be available Friday or Saturday evenings and some weekday afternoons and evenings. Ability to work with young people in a group setting. Work toward a degree in social science, recreation or leisure services preferred with a minimum of one year’s experience in the field of youth programs or activities or any combination of training and experience. Minimum starting hourly rate of $9.00/hr.
