AHM Youth & Family Services is seeking a full-time therapist with experience in the counseling of children, teens, young adults, and families. Schedule: Choice of 35 or 40 hours per week. Afternoons and evenings required; optional weekend hours.
Salary: $66,000 to $75,421, based on experience and schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family and group counseling to children, youth, young adults, and their families, maintaining a caseload of 25 to 30 clients per week, based on schedule.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, identify diagnoses, and maintain current treatment plans following best practices and medical necessity requirements.
- Maintain all clinical documentation to support the treatment of clients utilizing an electronic health records system.
- Collaborate with outside providers as needed to coordinate care, provide resources and make referrals.
- Participate in 4-town mental health prevention/postvention initiative.
- Offer support groups to community members as needed.
Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain one of the following licenses from the State of Connecticut:
- LCSW, LMFT, LPC
- Position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in master’s level counseling is preferred.
- Candidates who are individually contracted through private and state insurance panels will receive preference.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Experience with Simple Practice is preferred.
