Wellness Program Coordinator – Part Time


AHM Youth & Family Services is seeking a human services professional to coordinate the Health Matters program, a wellness initiative funded by a grant from the Cigna Foundation. The Coordinator will uphold the goals of the program, which is to reduce risk factors for mental illness and substance abuse in the community through participation in targeted programming.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate programs as outlined in the Health Matters grant proposal:

  • Create a schedule for classes, workshops, and events that support the three phases of the Health Matters program (The Self, The Family, & The Community).
  • Contact and schedule instructors and facilitators for each activity.
  • Ensure that targeted health engagement programming is offered to a variety of ages throughout our four towns of service. 
  • Provide participants with referrals to other AHM services and programs, acting as a service bridge to intervention and therapy if needed.
  • Be present during Health Matters programming to ensure safe and successful execution.
  • Build positive rapport with participants and instructors/facilitators.
  • Conduct participant surveys at the end of each session.

Schedule: Up to 9 hours per week. This is a semi-remote position.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Development, Health & Wellness, Recreation, Social Work, and/or Social Services required. 
  • Experience in event planning and programming required.
  • Ability to multi-task and give attention to detail required.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Docs required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Publisher and Canva a plus.
