If you answered yes, then the Town of Mansfield has the perfect job for you!  We are currently recruiting for a Youth Services Social Worker to work in Youth Services a division of the Human Services Department.

The Opportunity The Town of Mansfield is currently seeking applications for the position of Youth Services Social Worker with the Human Services Department. This position is an exempt level position, and while this position is 35 hours a week, we would expect you to get your work done, regardless of the hours required to do them. Some evening hours would be expected based on client needs. That being said, the Town believes in work-life balance and awards compensatory time for exempt employees who work more than 40 hours in a week. This position is responsible for performing intermediate professional work in the support and assistance of agency clients with personal, social, health and economic needs

The Total Compensation
This position is full-time, benefitted position with the Town with a salary of $56,875 – $72,035.60 scheduled for 35 hours a week.  Besides the compensation, we offer an amazing benefits package. What You Bring!
The Town is seeking individuals who have a Master’s Degree in  social work . The individual must be a Licensed Master Social Worker. Candidate must also be willing to obtain their public service license within 6 months of employment. An individual who has a strong interest in working with a very busy office, and working with the best crew around!

About the Position
Duties include assessing client needs; case management, counseling and assisting clients; determining available programs and services; preparing and maintaining files and records; preparing reports, and providing ah-mazing customer service to all clients.

About the Department
The Human Services Department employs approximately 15 employees.  This department is a shared services department that supports the Town of Mansfield and the Mansfield Board of Education. This department is highly dynamic and engaging and offers the right candidate the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of projects, programs, and initiatives.

Selection Process
This position will require a practical and/or oral exam as part of the selection process.  The selected candidate will be subject to a background check. The Town utilizes the behavioral-based interview format for the first interview.  Candidates are highly encouraged to research this interview style and prepare accordingly.  The Town also uses a panel interview process.
