POSITION TITLE:     THERAPIST, YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES  

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Provide therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families and conduct the necessary case management to support the healing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I.    Clinical

  1. Provide effective therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families as demonstrated by documented progress toward treatment goals.
  2. Maintain timely and complete clinical records in electronic recordkeeping system in accordance with licensing and funder requirements.
  3. Maintain required caseload with a variety of challenging cases.  Participate in effective joining with clients as demonstrated by kept appointments. 
  4. Facilitate referrals to Bridge Medical Director/APRN when appropriate, and collaborate on cases.

II.    Administrative/Staff Relationships

  1. Support the mission of the Youth Service Bureau and the Outpatient Clinic.
  2. Facilitate necessary processes to ensure client payment and meet or surpass revenue goals.
  3. Actively participate in weekly Team and Group Clinical Supervision meetings.
  4. Actively participate in weekly or bi-weekly individual clinical supervision, frequency to be determined by Clinical Director, or designee.
  5. Participate in in-service training

III.    Linkages

  1. Network with referral sources and represent the Youth Service Bureau and Outpatient  Clinic in a professional manner.
  2. Refer clients to other programs, sponsored by the Bridge or other organizations, when appropriate. 

Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.  Licensure in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy preferred.  Extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families and experience working in a managed care environment.

Skills:  Individual, couple, and family therapy, clinical assessment and treatment planning, interpersonal skills, networking, and computer literacy for effective and efficient record keeping.
