Youth Services Coordinator

The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic Youth Services Coordinator to work in a team based environment implementing the activities of our Youth Services Bureau. This position offers the opportunity for a self-driven individual to develop, implement, and supervise a comprehensive array of programs for young people and their families, including positive youth and social development, preventing of drug and alcohol use, violent behavior and other prevention education and activities and many other services. This position also serves as Juvenile Review Board Coordinator.

The Youth Services Coordinator will plan, supervise and coordinate a comprehensive youth program for young people and their families; coordinate preventive and remedial services provided by referral agencies and staff; promote and develop community interest and participation in programs and services; prepare press releases and other publicity on the activities of the Youth Services Bureau; and, prepare budget estimates and maintain budgetary control.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field, with four years of experience in youth counseling or youth programs, or any equivalent combination of training and experience; supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in writing and administering grants
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws/ordinances/regulations pertaining to youth services
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Internet and other programs as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
