Michelle Piccerillo, LMFT has worked in the field of Youth Services for almost 20 years and has been a member of the CYSA Board of Directors for over a decade. She has her Bachelors in Sociology/Psychology from Wesleyan University and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University. She was recently appointed the Human Services Director for the Town of Cheshire in 2011. Previously, Michelle was the Youth and Social Services Director for the Town of Cheshire.

Michelle has been instrumental in the growth of the Cheshire YSB, including the development of the YSB’s first program facility, the Yellow House, which now hosts positive youth development, mentoring and social programs for school aged Cheshire youth. Under her supervision, the Clinical Division of Cheshire’s YSB has developed into a highly respected counseling program serving elementary, middle and high school youth and their families. She has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Central Naugatuck Valley Regional Action Council for over 10 years and is currently Secretary. She has worked diligently in the area of Substance Abuse Prevention, both in Cheshire and on the state level. Michelle also has a small private practice where she provides individual and family counseling. She is the proud mom of three very energetic young children.
