Jason O'Connor, Vice President
Jason O'Connor, LMSW is the Executive Director of the New Milford Youth Agency and has been involved in the Youth Agency for over 17 years. During his involvement, Jason began as a student himself, working as an employee and supervisor at the Agency's then Sullivan Farm program. Once he obtained his undergraduate degree in Criminology and Sociology at Central Connecticut State University, Jason became the Agency's Youth Advocate, where he prioritized youth leadership, community engagement, and macro-level policy and programming to increase the wellness of New Milford's youth and families.
Jason is a longstanding and active community member in New Milford being born and raised in town and enrolled in the same schools the youth within his community now go to. He served on the Board of Directors for the New Milford Lions Club and has volunteered as an EMT for the New Milford Community Ambulance. Through his employment at the New Milford Youth Agency, Jason has been actively involved in New Milford's Local Prevention Council, NM CAN, where he has served as Chairman and been an important advocate for youth involvement and programming pertaining to youth mental and behavioral health. Jason always prioritizes youth opinion and voice and seeks to engage students in his community where they are able to sincerely express themselves and share their experiences and purpose.
Jason obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University where he focused on clinical social work with youth and families. Jason is married to the love of his life Kristi and enjoys watching and playing soccer, skiing in the winter months, and enjoying their home with their three cats.
