Lyne Landry, Member at Large

Lyne spent the first four years of her career in management and returned to the mental health field in 1986 to train at the Connecticut Mental Health Center.  She started community work in 1987 managing psychiatric residential programs in New Haven for 20 years, which afforded her extensive experience in the fields of  mental health, developmental disabilities, substance abuse prevention, alternatives to hospitalizations (respite care), and jail diversion.

In 2007 she transferred this experience to working with children and families when she became the director of Guilford Youth and Family Services.  Under her direction and the hard work of her terrific team, the agency has gone from obscurity to a well-known and integral part of the Guilford community.  Besides the many prevention programs held in the schools and community, the agency has a large and thriving mental health clinic, and a recently added therapy dog named Addie.

Lyne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UConn, and a Master’s Degree in Community Psychology from CCSU with a concentration in prevention programs.  She lives in Guilford with her wife and four children.
